Compress a photo in your browser, compare original and output file sizes and inspect the result before choosing the version you want to keep.
Start with the best available source
Choose the photo you want to deliver, preferably an original or a clean edited copy. A picture saved repeatedly as a low-quality JPEG may already contain visible damage. Another compression pass cannot undo those earlier changes.
Open ToolNivo Image Compressor and select the file. The interface displays its dimensions and file size so that you have a clear starting point. Supported inputs include JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP, up to 15 MB and 24 megapixels.
Generate a first comparison
Choose JPEG or WebP and begin with the default 80% quality setting. Select Compress image and wait for the result. The tool shows the original size, output size and whether the result is smaller.
Treat the percentage as an encoding control, not as a measured percentage of visual quality retained. Different images respond differently. A photograph with textured foliage may behave differently from a flat illustration even when their dimensions are identical.
Look beyond the savings number
Inspect the preview for edges, skin tones, small text and gradients. A large reduction may be unsuitable if important details become hard to recognize. Increase quality and generate another version when damage is visible at the intended viewing size.
The compressor keeps the original pixel dimensions. If your photo has unnecessarily large dimensions, use Image Resizer to prepare a smaller copy. Reducing pixel count and reducing encoding quality solve related but different problems.
Download the version that meets your needs
Save the result only after checking both its appearance and size. A compressed copy is not guaranteed to be smaller; the interface warns when it is not. Keep your original if the new result offers no useful advantage.
The processing happens in your browser without a photo-upload request. Reset clears the active selection and result from the tool, but it does not delete the original or downloaded image from your device. Give each saved comparison a clear name so you do not confuse it with the source.
