Extract a selection from a PDF

Keep a chapter, a few pages or a specific section without distributing the entire file. The tool shows the source page count and copies your selection into one new PDF. It does not create a separate download for each page.

How to select PDF pages

Choose a PDF, then enter page numbers separated by commas or ascending ranges such as 1, 3-5, 8. Numbers refer to positions in the file, starting at 1, even if printed page labels differ. Select Extract pages and download the result.

Control the output order

Pages follow the order you enter. For example, 5, 1-2 places source page five first, followed by pages one and two. Repeated page numbers are included only once. The original file is unchanged, so keep it if you may need another selection.

Common questions.

Can I extract the whole document?

Yes. Enter 1 followed by a hyphen and the displayed final page number. To make separate PDFs, generate and download a different selection each time.

What happens if I enter an invalid range?

The tool stops and shows an error. Use positive page numbers within the displayed count and ascending ranges. Reversed ranges such as 7-3 are not accepted.

Will text remain selectable?

Ordinary PDF page text is copied without rasterizing. Existing image-only pages stay image-only. Bookmarks, forms, signatures and document-level features are not guaranteed to survive extraction.

Which PDFs can I use?

Use unencrypted PDFs up to 30 MB and 500 pages. Password-protected, damaged and empty PDFs are not supported.
