A client handoff should contain what the recipient needs to use and maintain the design. Unsorted drafts and unrelated source files make the delivery harder to understand.
Identify the deliverables
Include the approved export, agreed editable project, and permitted supporting assets. Keep an optional archive of earlier versions clearly separate. Use filenames that identify the video and the selected revision.
Add a short readme
State which file is ready to upload, which application opens the source, and whether any external fonts or linked assets are required. Note meaningful limitations, such as a flattened photograph that cannot be separated into layers.
Check the package
Open the project from the delivery folder to confirm links work. Inspect the export and remove private notes or materials belonging to another project. Keep the handoff focused enough that the client can find the correct image immediately, while retaining the source information needed for a future revision.
