Image dimensions describe width and height in pixels. They help you understand the available source, but they do not tell you everything about sharpness, compression, or visual clarity.
Read both numbers
An image measuring 640 by 360 pixels has fewer pixels than one measuring 1280 by 720, while both share the same shape. These are illustrative dimensions, not a promise about what every YouTube video provides. ToolNivo displays the dimensions of the images it can load.
Match the intended use
A small reference card may not need your largest available file. A detailed crop needs more source information. Choose based on the actual output rather than automatically assuming the biggest download will solve every design problem.
Inspect at normal scale
View the selected file at its intended display size. Look for readable text, clear edges, and compression artifacts. A large file made from an already blurred source can still look poor. Preserve the best original you have before creating resized copies for specific uses.
