Understand why glass contains background information and why a simple foreground mask cannot produce a perfect transparent-object cutout.

Glass carries the old scene

A glass object can transmit, bend and reflect its surroundings. The background is therefore visible not only around it but through it. A foreground mask estimates what to keep; it does not reliably reconstruct how the same object would look against a completely different scene. Keeping a glass bottle can also keep the old wall visible through that bottle.

Assess the intended use

Process a copy and compare reflections, rim highlights and the interior of the object. Test a contrasting background. An opaque patch or a retained color cast may become obvious. A bottle with a large solid label can work adequately at small size while its clear upper section still looks unnatural on a new background.

For product photography, consider photographing the object against the actual background you intend to use. This can preserve realistic refraction and contact shadows more effectively than trying to recover them from a difficult source.

Avoid promising a complete reconstruction

If transparency is essential, use a specialist editing workflow with separate masks, reflections and tonal adjustments. ToolNivo's lightweight tool is not a glass-reconstruction system. Do not judge success only by whether the checkerboard appears outside the object. The object itself must still look plausible, and a cutout that works on white may fail badly on a patterned or saturated background.
