Screenshots and photographs can contain details that were never intended for publication. A dedicated privacy pass helps catch them before the final image is shared.
Inspect the source closely
Look for email addresses, account names, browser tabs, notifications, documents, location details, and reflections. In a software screenshot, check sidebars and recent-file lists as well as the main window.
Remove the information properly
Use a clean capture when possible. If you edit the image, replace or fully cover the sensitive area and inspect the flattened export. A partially transparent effect may leave text readable, and the editable project can still contain the original information.
Review the handoff too
Share only the source materials needed by the designer or collaborator. Keep any private original outside the public asset folder. After export, zoom in once more and check the small-size view. Privacy review should cover both what the image communicates and what an attentive viewer could extract from it.
