Use Split PDF and Merge PDF together to combine only the pages you need from several documents, with a clear selection and verification workflow.
Plan the final document
Identify which source pages belong in the new file before opening the tools. Record file positions rather than relying only on printed page labels. A cover or unnumbered introduction can shift the relationship between a printed page number and its position in the PDF.
For example, you may need positions 2 through 4 from one report and positions 1 and 5 from another. Keeping a short selection note helps you avoid including an entire source by mistake.
Extract each source selection
Open the first document in Split PDF and enter its required positions, such as 2-4. Download the selected pages as a new PDF, then repeat for the second source with a selection such as 1, 5.
Open each intermediate file and confirm its page count and content. Give the downloads meaningful names so that the extracted versions are easy to distinguish from the originals. Split PDF exports one combined selection per operation, not a separate file for every chosen page.
Merge the prepared selections
Open Merge PDF and choose the extracted files. Arrange them in the order required by the final document. The merger appends all pages from each selected file, so the intermediate selections should already have the correct internal order.
If you need to alternate pages from different sources, prepare smaller selections and arrange those files accordingly. The merge interface moves whole documents rather than interleaving individual pages automatically.
Verify completeness and limitations
Download the merged result and compare it against your selection note. Check the first and last page of each extracted section. Ordinary text can remain selectable, but forms, signatures and other document-level features are not guaranteed to survive either operation. Keep the original files and intermediate selections until you have verified that the final PDF contains exactly the material you intended.
