Open Text to PDF

Convert text to PDF with a rich-text editor. Format selected words, add headings, set A4 or Letter pages, and preview Arabic RTL text before downloading.

Create a formatted PDF from text

A text to PDF converter is useful when you want to turn a letter, study notes, instructions or a short handout into a document with a consistent appearance. You may need a large title, smaller body text, a numbered procedure and a signature aligned to the right. Those choices require a rich-text editor rather than a plain text box.

ToolNivo Text to PDF lets you write or paste text, format individual selections and prepare a page preview before downloading. Editing and PDF generation happen in your browser. The direct download captures the rendered pages as images, preserving their appearance. If you need selectable text, the separate Print / Save as PDF option uses your browser's printing workflow where available.

Step 1: Write or paste your document

Open Text to PDF and enter your content in the editor. Start with a short title, then separate your paragraphs with line breaks. English, French, Spanish and other Latin text can be mixed in the same document. Review accents, punctuation and any unusual characters after pasting.

The editor accepts text and supported formatting, rather than a complete Word document layout. Pasted images, tables and unsupported styles are omitted. For a document that already exists as a DOCX or TXT file, the File to PDF tool may be a better starting point. Keep a separate source copy: the text editor does not automatically save your work when you close or refresh the page.

Step 2: Change only the text you select

Highlight the words or sentence you want to change, then choose a font family, font size or text color. Bold, italic and underline also apply to the selected text. For example, make the phrase “Meeting notes” larger and bold while leaving the following paragraph at its original size.

This selection-based approach is useful for emphasis without making an entire page difficult to read. Use a small number of font styles and keep ordinary paragraphs consistent. The available families rely on fonts installed on the device, so check the final preview if a selected font looks different from what you expected.

Undo reverses a recent change and Redo restores an undone change. Clear formatting removes styling from the selected content. These controls help when pasted text brings in unwanted formatting or when a heading becomes too large.

Step 3: Organize headings, lists and paragraph spacing

Choose Heading 1 for the document's main title, then Heading 2 or Heading 3 for sections and subsections. Paragraph style returns a heading to ordinary body text. Headings create visible structure, making a longer document easier to follow.

Use a numbered list for a sequence and a bullet list for items without a required order. Paragraph alignment can be left, center, right or justified. Line spacing controls the vertical space between lines within the selected paragraphs. These paragraph settings affect the paragraphs touched by the selection, while font size and emphasis can target individual words.

As a practical example, a one-page instruction sheet could use a centered title, a short left-aligned introduction and a numbered list of steps. Review the page after changing the font size or spacing, because both can increase the number of pages.

Step 4: Prepare Arabic text and RTL paragraphs

For Arabic content, select the relevant paragraphs and choose Right to left in the Text direction control. Adjust alignment separately when needed. The browser shapes Arabic letters before creating the page images used by the direct PDF download.

Check sentences that combine Arabic with English names, numbers, brackets or punctuation. These mixed-direction passages deserve a careful preview even when the individual words look correct. If characters appear as empty boxes, try an available font with support for that language. Changing direction cannot add characters missing from a device's fonts.

Step 5: Choose paper size, orientation and margins

Choose A4 or Letter to set the PDF's physical page dimensions. Portrait works well for ordinary letters and notes. Landscape provides a wider writing area for short lines of instructions or content that benefits from extra horizontal space.

Set margins between 5 and 40 millimeters. The chosen value applies to all four edges. Larger margins reduce the usable writing area and can create additional pages, especially with large headings or generous line spacing. Enter a recognizable PDF file name before preparing your download.

Step 6: Preview every page and download

Select Prepare PDF preview and wait for the document to finish rendering. Review the beginning and end of each page, list numbering, paragraph alignment, accents and Arabic text. The direct download uses the same page images shown in this preview.

If the layout needs adjustment, return to the editor or page settings and prepare a new preview. The current limits are 50,000 characters and 20 rendered pages. For a document that exceeds them, divide it into smaller parts or reduce oversized formatting. Once the preview is ready, select Download PDF and open the saved file to confirm the result.

Frequently asked questions

Can I search or copy text in the downloaded PDF? The direct download contains page images, so its text is not searchable or selectable. Choose Print / Save as PDF for browser text output where supported. Review that print preview separately because its pagination can differ from the direct download.

Is my text uploaded for conversion? No. This tool edits, renders and generates the PDF locally in the browser. The site supplies the program files, but your document is not sent to a conversion server or permanently stored on the site's VPS.

Can I use Text to PDF on a phone? The interface adapts to a narrow screen, and generation runs on the phone itself. Text selection depends on your mobile browser's selection handles. A short document is a useful first test before preparing a longer export.

Can I combine the PDF with another document? After downloading, use Merge PDF to join it with other PDF files. Split PDF can extract selected pages from a finished file. Merging an image-based PDF does not make its text searchable.
