Convert a TXT file to PDF in your browser, check text encoding and page breaks, and choose between image-based download and browser printing.
Prepare a readable text file
A TXT to PDF conversion is useful when a recipient needs pages instead of a plain text attachment. Meeting notes, instructions and simple lists are suitable examples. Keep the TXT original: a PDF is a delivery copy, not a replacement for the editable source.
ToolNivo accepts UTF-8 text and UTF-16 text with a byte-order mark. If accented letters already look wrong in your editor, correct the encoding before conversion. Changing the filename does not repair incorrectly decoded characters. The current text limit is 100,000 characters, with a maximum file size of 10 MB and up to 40 output pages.
Convert and inspect the preview
Open File to PDF, choose your TXT file, and select Convert to PDF. Processing happens on your device. The tool wraps long lines and distributes the text across pages. It keeps blank lines, normalizes line endings and expands tabs to spaces; this is not an exact reproduction of a terminal window.
Check a paragraph near the beginning, one around a page boundary and the last line. For example, a checklist with a long URL may wrap across several display lines. Confirm that the full address remains present even if its appearance changes. Text that depends on precise column alignment needs extra attention.
Choose the appropriate PDF output
Download PDF saves images of the rendered pages. The result is readable visually, but its text is not searchable or selectable. If someone needs to copy your notes, try Print / Save as PDF and choose the browser's PDF destination. Disable print headers and footers, inspect the print preview, then save. Browser output may differ from the direct download.
Verify the saved copy
Open the actual downloaded file rather than judging only the website preview. Count its pages and inspect the final paragraph. If conversion fails, try a shorter file saved as UTF-8. Use Reset when finished; it clears the active conversion but does not delete the original or downloaded PDF from your device.
