Remove a photo background locally, review the cutout, and download a transparent PNG with the ToolNivo background remover.
Start with a suitable file
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photograph containing one clearly visible subject. The tool accepts files up to 15 MB and 36 megapixels. A copy with a longest edge above 2,048 pixels is reduced before processing, so keep your original separately if you need a larger master file. Selecting a file opens it on your device; it does not upload the photograph to ToolNivo.
Make and inspect the cutout
Open the background remover, choose your photo, and press Remove background. The first run downloads the model and its image engine. Wait for the result instead of pressing the button repeatedly. Speed depends on your browser and device. Compare the original with the result, paying attention to fingers, handles, hair and the spaces around the subject.
For example, a mug photographed against a plain wall may lose the wall correctly but retain a patch inside its handle. The result needs a closer check even when the main silhouette looks convincing. A cleaner source photograph can be more useful than processing the same unsuitable image again.
Save the version you need
Leave Download background set to Transparent when you plan to place the subject into another design. Choose White or Custom color for a finished image with a solid background. The white outline is optional and becomes part of the export. Press Download PNG, then reopen the downloaded file before deleting any originals. A visible checkerboard in the tool is only a preview; it is not painted into a transparent export.
