Open Background Remover

Understand how local background removal handles your selected image, downloaded model files, and exported PNG without a photo upload.

Follow the image through the tool

In the ToolNivo background remover, your browser opens the selected image and prepares a smaller working copy when needed. A model running on your device estimates which parts belong to the foreground. The page uses that estimate to make a cutout and prepares the PNG download. This implementation has no photo-upload endpoint and does not send your picture or its mask to a ToolNivo server.

Separate photo processing from page requests

Local processing does not mean the browser never contacts a server. It still requests the website, scripts and AI files. The hosting provider can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and the requested file path. Those requests are different from uploading the contents of your photograph. Other ToolNivo tools make their own requests: the YouTube thumbnail tool, for example, loads images from YouTube.

The model and runtime files may remain in the normal browser cache. They are reusable program data, not a collection of visitors' photos. The page does not create a saved image history in application storage.

Keep device privacy in mind

Use Clear photo when you finish, and manage exported files in your device's Downloads folder. Closing the tab releases the application's active image state, but does not delete a file you already downloaded. Local processing also cannot control browser extensions, screenshots or access by another person using the device. For confidential work, consider the security of the device and browser as well as the website's processing method. Read the privacy page for the current implementation details.
