Understand ToolNivo file limits, automatic resizing and the difference between a large photo and a detailed cutout mask.

Check three different sizes

File size measures storage, such as megabytes. Pixel dimensions describe the image grid. Model input size describes the smaller representation used for AI analysis. These quantities are related but not interchangeable. A compact JPG can contain many pixels, while a PNG with fewer pixels can occupy more storage.

ToolNivo accepts images up to 15 MB and 36 megapixels. It prepares an image with a maximum longest edge of 2,048 pixels for processing and export. The lightweight model estimates its mask at 320 by 320 pixels; that mask is then fitted to the working image. A large output therefore does not imply equally detailed edge analysis.

Calculate the working copy

A 4,000 by 3,000 photo becomes approximately 2,048 by 1,536. The proportions stay the same. Your source file is not overwritten. A 1,200 by 800 source stays at that size; the tool does not enlarge it to 2,048 merely because that is the limit.

Match expectations to the destination

A web graphic may work well with the resized cutout, while a large printed display may require a different workflow and careful manual masking. Check the displayed output dimensions before downloading. If a fine wire, eyelash or lace detail disappears, a larger source alone may not solve it because model resolution remains limited. Use a tighter source composition or an editor with more detailed selection controls when those features are essential. Preserve the original so you can revisit the edit later.
