Choose a supported source format and understand how compression and existing transparency affect your cutout.
Use the best available original
ToolNivo accepts JPG, PNG and WebP inputs. Format alone does not tell you whether an image is good: a sharp original JPG can be more useful than a blurry picture saved as PNG. Check the pixels at the subject boundary. Strong compression may produce small blocks or colored ringing that the cutout cannot reconstruct into authentic detail.
JPG does not store an alpha channel. PNG can preserve transparent areas, and WebP may also contain transparency. If your image already has transparent areas, inspect whether additional removal is necessary at all. Reprocessing an existing cutout can remove details that were correctly retained by an earlier edit.
Avoid conversion loops
If a supported source opens correctly, do not convert it repeatedly before processing. Saving a JPG over and over may add compression damage; converting a damaged JPG to PNG preserves the damage rather than repairing it. Start from the original camera export or a clean design export when possible.
For example, a product photograph copied from a messaging preview may look acceptable at phone size but have broken edges when enlarged. Requesting the original file is usually more effective than changing the preview's extension.
Choose the export for the next step
The background remover exports PNG so it can carry transparency. Keep that PNG when you plan further composition. If a later destination needs JPG, first place the cutout on the intended solid background in an editor, then export. Renaming a file from .jpg to .png does not convert its contents or create transparent pixels.
