Free Batch HEIC to JPG Conversion: Plan and Check Your ZIP
ToolNivo currently offers free HEIC-to-JPG conversion without an account or conversion payment. For a folder of photos, the useful question is how to divide the work and verify the results. A free converter still has practical file and device-memory limits.
Build a manageable batch
Select up to 20 photos, keeping each file below 20 MB and the queued inputs below 80 MB. Images must also be no more than 16 megapixels. These are separate checks: twenty acceptable individual files can exceed the combined input budget.
For example, ten 9 MB inputs total 90 MB and will not all fit the 80 MB queued-input limit. Divide them into smaller groups. This arithmetic example is a planning aid, not a promise that a particular phone can process every batch below the limit.
Convert and keep track of each result
- Put the originals for this batch in a recognizable folder or album.
- Select them in the converter and inspect the list before starting.
- Choose one quality setting for the queued images and convert.
- Review each status. Download the successful results even if one photo failed.
- Use Download All to save a ZIP, then extract and inspect its contents.
The tool processes one image at a time. Progress describes batch completion, not an estimated finishing time. A failed image stays visible with an error and does not stop the later files.
Understand duplicates and filenames
Duplicate file contents are skipped to avoid converting the same input twice. Two different photos with the same base filename are different: the converter gives their JPGs distinct names, adding a number when needed. Spaces and non-English characters can remain in download names.
Check the actual result count against the accepted input list. Download All includes only successful JPGs, not failed originals. An extracted ZIP with fewer files than the initial selection can be correct when duplicates were skipped or some inputs failed.
Free memory before the next group
The total ready-output budget is 64 MB. Download and remove completed results when you need room for more. Reset clears the current list and returns the quality setting to its default; it does not save the files for you.
Keep batches organized as separate download folders so that similar camera filenames do not become confusing. Open a sample from each group and inspect any file with an unexpected size. For one failed image, use the error checklist. The browser-processing guide explains the device resources involved.
