Open Scan to PDF

Create a scanned PDF without uploading document photos. Understand local processing, temporary page memory and what happens to your downloaded file.

Understand what stays on your device

ToolNivo Scan to PDF reads the images you select in the active browser tab. Cropping, rotation, appearance adjustments and PDF creation run on your device. The tool does not upload those photos to ToolNivo or send them to a conversion API.

Opening the website still requires ordinary requests to retrieve its page and code. The PDF library is loaded from the site when it is needed. Those code downloads are different from sending document photos for analysis or storage. Local conversion should not be confused with a guarantee that the entire browsing session is anonymous.

Plan for temporary working copies

The scanner holds its working pages in memory. It does not provide an account, a saved scan history or a way to resume a document after closing the tab. Keep your source photos and finish the download before refreshing the page or switching away for a long period on a memory-constrained device.

Clear all pages discards the current working set from the tool. Closing the tab also ends that session. Neither action deletes the originals from your photo library or removes a PDF that you have already downloaded. Manage those files through your device's usual file and photo controls.

Review the document before sharing it

Local processing does not decide whether a document is appropriate to share. Check the visible pages for unrelated papers, addresses or private notes that were accidentally included in the photograph. Crop unwanted surroundings before export, then review the actual downloaded PDF.

Do not treat the crop tool as a complete document-redaction system. If information must be removed from within the paper itself, prepare a suitable source copy before photographing it and check the final attachment carefully. The scanner is designed for simple page preparation, not certification of confidential document handling.

Know the limits of the resulting PDF

The exported file contains images fitted to A4 pages. It has no OCR layer, so photographed words are not selectable or searchable. If a recipient requires searchable text, an accessible tagged document or a particular archival format, this output may not meet that requirement.

Use the scanner for a straightforward image-based PDF when that is what the recipient accepts. Once the file is downloaded, open it, confirm the page order and choose its destination yourself. Sending it through email or another service introduces that service's own handling; the scanner's local processing does not control what happens after you share the file.
