How to Download Your CV as PDF for Free

Your CV is not ready to send until you have checked the saved file. ToolNivo lets you download your CV as PDF for free, with no account or payment step. The editor shows the actual generated PDF so you can review the same document before downloading it.

Save your CV in a few steps

  1. Choose a template and complete your name, contact information and relevant sections.
  2. Wait for the preview to finish updating. If a field produces an error, correct it before exporting.
  3. Use the page selector to inspect the first, middle and final pages.
  4. Enter a recognizable filename, such as Firstname-Lastname-CV.pdf.
  5. Select Download CV as PDF. Use Save PDF if the automatic download does not begin.
  6. Open the saved document in a PDF viewer and review it once more.

What is inside the downloaded PDF?

The output uses A4 pages, embedded fonts and real text for supported characters. It is not simply a screenshot placed inside a PDF. The CV can include your chosen photo, but ATS Simple intentionally omits that image while retaining it in the editor for other layouts.

Valid contact web addresses, email addresses and phone numbers are included as PDF links. Whether tapping a link opens a browser, email app or calling app depends on the PDF viewer and device configuration. Check the destination rather than assuming a correctly spelled display label means the address is right.

Check text and international characters

Try selecting a line in the saved document and copying it into a plain-text editor. Review names and words with accents, especially if you entered French, Spanish, German or Portuguese text. These languages were tested with the tool's embedded fonts.

This version does not support Arabic/RTL layout or every possible symbol. An unsupported character causes a visible error. Replace the problematic character or use another tool suitable for that script; do not submit a document with missing or unreadable name text.

Review long CVs carefully

Additional pages are generated when the content needs them. Ordinary experience and education entries are kept together when practical. An entry longer than an entire page must continue across pages, so inspect both sides of the page break.

Look for unnecessary repetition, a final page holding only a small amount of avoidable text, or a section that would be clearer earlier in the document. Adjust the wording and section order before reducing font size. The purpose is a readable CV, not the smallest possible page count.

Know what the PDF does not save

A downloaded PDF is the finished document, not an editable ToolNivo draft. The builder does not import it back into the form or keep an account history. Keep your source text separately if you plan to revise the CV later, and save the final file before closing or reloading the page.

If an application asks for separate documents, send them separately. If it specifically asks for one combined PDF, Merge PDF can assemble your saved CV with other requested pages. Keep an unchanged copy of the original CV and follow the employer's file-format instructions.
